This is one of the many stories of why The Children's Voice Foundation was created

Larry's Testimony:

This non-profit Christian foundation was created because of the need to love and care for orphans. A church member returned from a mission trip to China in April. The story Crystal shared with our church stirred me so deeply, that I knew it could only be God speaking to my heart. The story she told was of babies who had no one to hold or love them, of small children who were hidden away just because of a physical deformity, and of one baby girl that was left on the side of the road to die.

These children, especially the girl babies will never have a chance unless someone does something. Crystal also told of the orphaned children in Russia that at age 16 are turned out to fend for themselves. Statistics show 7 out of 10 of these orphans turn to prostitution or end up in jail and 2 out of the remaining 3 commit suicide.

I have 3 children; an 18 year old son, a 17 year old daughter, and God has blessed us with the newest addition to our family; a baby girl who is now 2 ½ months old. That boy or girl in Russia is my son and daughter. That baby girl that needs to be held and loved is my baby daughter.

I soon found that I was not the only one that was given a burning desire to do something. There are several other families that have joined together to create this foundation. Two of these families are currently seeking to adopt from Russian and the Ukraine. During the course of the adoption process, one of the family’s came across 15 orphans that were scheduled to come to the U.S. the last week in July, but their sponsor fell through. These orphans are coming to learn about God through Christian youth camps and interaction with other Christian youth. These children have also been cleared for adoption. As you can see our immediate need is great.

Our vision is to provide workers in China to hold and care and love the babies, to create homes for the Russian and Ukraine children to live in so they don’t have to go to the street. At these homes we will have missionaries to evangelize and minister to the children and workers who live and work there. Many of these children are available to be adopted. The real problem is many families who want them don’t have the money it takes. The Children’s Voice foundation will provide financial support to help offset the cost of creating families.

Our plan is to have events throughout the year that will raise the money necessary to fund our organization. Our first project is to have an event that will have both music and evangelism. We also have several other events planned for the next year that will raise the needed capital. Our web page is up and running and we are now able to accept donations online.

I attend church on Sunday morning and Sunday night, I am there on Wednesday night, I attend church most any time the doors are open. I am a deacon of the church, in September I will assume the role of Sunday School director, I am in the choir, I am a substitute Sunday school teacher for two different classes. I state these things not to extol my contributions, but to inform you, THAT WHAT I DO IS STILL NOT ENOUGH. Jesus died for me, what can I do to compare with that.
